More on Weblogs and Malpractice Insurance

In his post, Chubb Insurance responds to denial of coverage for blogs, Kevin O'Keefe at LexBlog noted that he followed up on earlier reports about an insurance company refusing to cover a law firm's blog by seeking more information from the insurance company itself:

I emailed the PR folks at Chubb Insurance the end of last week asking them to respond to Chubb's denial of malpractice coverage for law firms publishing blogs.

As Kevin relates in his post, Chubb sent him information suggesting that Chubb does insure this new form of communication—and will continue to do so within select parameters, but he notes that [a] remaining concern is Chubb's apparent unwillingness to insure blogs that could be 'advisory blogs.'

Check out Kevin's post for much more detail on the subject and additional, expected updates on this subject: Chubb Insurance responds to denial of coverage for blogs.
