I recently discovered Minding the Law's Business, a blawg by John Walker that uses the subtitle, LawBall: The Art and Science of the "Business of Practicing Law."
In reading some of Mr. Walker's posts, I was drawn into a recent series concerning the concept of LawBall: LAWBALL | IS MAYER BROWN PLAYING LAWBALL? | IS MAYER BROWN PLAYING LAWBALL? A POSTSCRIPT
The posts, both lengthy and well-crafted, explore themes similar to those outlined in the book MoneyBall [see my earlier post MoneyLaw and My Alma Mater's New Dean ]. Indeed, I am hopeful that there is some cross-pollination between the people exploring LawBall and those like Dean Jim Chen and others at MoneyLaw, which are looking at the MoneyBall model applied to legal academia. That could really lead to some interesting conversations.
Indeed, for me, the exploration of new ideas in collaboration with others is a big part of what makes the blawgosphere so special.
