Big New York Firms Bump Salaries Up Again

A topic that was hard to miss the last couple of days: it appears the large New York City law firms have upped the associate pay scale upwards once again.

According to posts at Above the Law, one firm upped the first year associate starting pay to $160,000 and now others are starting to follow.    The Wall Street Journal Law Blog and others are reporting pretty much the same.

For those of you who are interested in the topic, below are some links to get you started.   At the very least, you have to appreciate the titles of some of these posts; I know I chuckled a bit (my personal favorite: The Simpson Bump: Everybody’s Doin’ It! ).
