Blawg's Sunday Paper, 12 - 3 - 06

Wow, it is December already...

Blawg's Sunday Paper, a quick spin through the blawgosphere and the week that was.

Robert Ambrogi, who has long offered a great resource via LawSites,  said the Votes are in: Your top law blogs.  Among the submitted votes, he said he found a couple of new blawgs for his ever-expanding blogroll.

Professor Mary L. Dudziak at the Legal History Blog, previewed PBS's "new series on The Supreme Court, to air during the 2006-07 season."   PBS Announces Series on the Supreme Court

The National Review Online's Bench Memos blawg covered the Harvard Law School Celebration of Justice Scalia.  The writer, Ed Whelan, may a little partial to Justice Scalia as he clerked for him, but his post mainly commended Harvard Law and its Dean for the civil treatment given (apparently, some of Justice Scalia's other law school visits have not been been so) .

Holland & Hart's Mark Beese at Leadership for Lawyers, talked about a new book entitled Appreciative Intelligence in his post  Appreciative Intelligence: The Power behind Entrepreneurs.

Larry Bodine continued his string of interesting and relevant posts when he noted that Most Firms Spend 15% on Online Marketing, while also asking "[i]s your firm spending enough?"    I found this particular paragraph the most thought provoking of his post:    How much does your firm spend on its ornate reception area, which may have 10 to 20 prospective clients go through it monthly?  You should spend ten times that on your Web site, where thousands of people can visit per month.  Larry Bodine's LawMarketing Blog

Lawrence Lessig noted at Lessig Blog that the Creative Commons fundraising campaign has "passed the half-way mark...[and that]...cleaned out [his] inbox of people to thank for their contribution."  He also added that they have "not sold so many t-shirts that they won’t still be cool." We’ve just passed the 1/2 way mark…

And, finally, in the holiday spirit,

The Estrin Report, a blawg "[c]reated for professional paralegals," tackled some holiday gift giving issues, Six Rules on Gift-Giving at Work and Are You a 'Re-Gifter'?
