Twenty-five years for WorldCom’s Bernie Ebbers. Twenty-four years, four months for Enron’s Jeff Skilling. Twenty years for Adelphia’s Timothy Rigas. Twelve years for CA’s Sanjay Kumar. 8 1/3-to-25 years for Tyco’s Dennis Kozlowski. Six years for Enron’s Andrew Fastow. Five years for WorldCom’s Scott Sullivan.  The Wall Street Journal Law Blog asks Are the Sentences For These Men Too Long?

BarclayBlog reports that "The Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) at Syracuse University has released the new edition of its FBI Web Site. According to the report's latest findings, federal prosecutors have rejected 87% of the FBI's referrals on international terrorism in the first nine months of FY 2006. The report also concludes that FBI investigations of all kinds have consistently resulted in fewer federal prosecutions."  Link to full post.

Cincinnati Law Library Blog talks about a new SEC online search engine:  "The Securities & Exchange Commission last Tuesday announced the availability of registration statements, annual & quarterly reports, and other filings by publicly-owned companies and mutual funds over the past four years on its new online search tool."  Link to full post.

Tim Stanley, over at Justia, gives a much appreciated shout out re: Blawg's new design and shares one of Coach Bo Schembechler's all-time best lines.  Bo was a true legend.   For anyone interested and around Ann Arbor on Tuesday, Michigan Stadium will be hosting a Celebration of Coach Schembecler's Life at 1pm EST.
