Larry Bodine, over at his
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES MARKETING Blog, mentioned an eZine article from blawger and law firm management consultant
Ed Poll concerning the dollar value of the billable hours a blawger spent updating his/her blawg each year. It was worth the read. Click the links above to take a look.
While on the subject, this posting reminded me of another interesting blawgosphere discussion last March concerning billable hours, from the perspective of law students getting set to start working. The discussion stemmed from a document Yale Law"s Career office published entitled, The Truth About The Billable Hour (note: it is a pdf document).
The various blawgs involved in the conversation offered their own view and analysis of how "billable hours" translate to actual hours on the job. If this topic is of interest to you, and you want to dive back in, I recommend starting at any of these great blawgs: Law Dawg Blawg, FSU College of Law Library Blog or the Moritz Legal Information Blog. Odds are these blawgs will lead you to even more analysis and commentary.
Happy Reading.
