Last month I noted that Blawg recorded over a million page views last year, which continued an upward trend from its first year in existence, 2003. My point in noting these numbers was that I felt it paralleled the increasing interest in legal blogging. And, while I haven't yet reviewed January 2006 visitor statistics in detail, at a glance they appear to be continuing the same upward trend. Which is all good news.
And now this. When I am visiting Blawg myself, I have the ability to see how many others are also visiting the site at that moment in time (sort of like a counter). It doesn't tell me anything personal, just total numbers. Anyway, last Wednesday morning, I noticed that 78 people were visiting Blawg at the same time, which is significantly more than were visiting at one time, even just last year (30 to 50 was pretty standard last year).
No real point to my rambling on this item, other than to say it may just mean that, similar to the raw visits statistics, the growth of the simultaneous user number, is parelleling the increasing interest in blawgs themselves. Good stuff.
