Pretty exciting to see that Law Seminars International has sponsored an upcoming conference entitled
Blog Law and Blogging for Lawyers. Looking at the list of presenters, there are a lot of interesting names, including long-time blawgers and representatives from leading Web 2.0 companies like
Yahoo! and
Google.
I also noticed that someone from Law.com will be presenting, but didn't see any representatives from either West or Lexis. It is hard to imagine that these companies would take a pass on a conference like this. Whether they buy into blawgs or not, I would hope there is some recognition of the shift in information dissemination that Web 2.0 is starting to develop (of which blawgs are just a part in my opinion). Perhaps reps from these companies will be there as attendees.
In any case, the conference is scheduled for late April in San Francisco. Makes me wish I lived in California. This event would definitely be worth attending. Good stuff.
