As I recently added another blawg focused on law student bar exam experiences (
California Bar Girl), I was struck by how much things have changed since even the mid-1990's when I was preparing for the bar exam. While the various tests given by states across the country may be about the same, the amount of information available on the web about the bar exam has totally changed. I remember my classmates and I taking bar review courses and talking to a few lawyers about their experiences in taking the bar. However, other outlets or sources for bar exam real world experiences and feelings (e.g. nerves, panic, etc), were limited to nonexistent.
Perhaps this is why the blawgosphere is slowly developing collective communities which share myriad thoughts, tips, ideas, feelings, etcetera, on topics both broad and narrow. At the very least, reading bar exam blawgs might offer those currently preparing a tonic for rattled nerves and feelings of being overwhelmed. And, perhaps even more, if readers can pick up bar-taking tips, lessons from past test takers and other information that may supplement their bar prep courses and studying.
I know I wish bar exam blawgs existed back in the day. Good stuff.
