Delphi, the big automotive supplier that just declared bankruptcy over the weekend, has set up a website which seems to be serving as the information and court document hub for its bankruptcy proceedings. For anyone interested in the bankruptcy, it is a useful resource, but...
As I looked over the material, I found myself thinking about how much more useful the website would be if it was "feed-enabled." Allowing people to subscribe to content, whether press releases, new court filings, case histories, etc., rather than forcing them to visit and wade through the many pages of the site time and time again, just would make the site so much more user-friendly. Indeed, if the site was feed-enabled, catching up with day's activities related to the bankruptcy would simply involve checking your inbox or favorite news reader, with the added plus of accessing materials of further interest via the links contained in those updates.
One of these days, such feeds will be standard on most, if not, all such sites, but for now I guess it will have to be wishful thinking. You can see the Delphi bankruptcy site, dubbed DelphiDocket.com, by clicking here.
