The growth of the online information-sharing and reporting websites in the last 18 months continues to amaze. Yesterday's tragedy in London showcased the speed at which information, both written and multimedia, now travels. The advent of moblogs, photoblogs, videoblogs, photo-sharing sites and news aggregators, has opened the door for the average person to share the sights and sounds of the world around them, in good times and bad.
Here are just some samples of information-sharing sources that did not exist even three years ago. Can the traditional model of defined media conduits for reporting and sharing news, information and pictures/video survive the steady stream of emerging, inexpensive and easy-to-use web technologies in the hands of millions?
