Some Sunday Morning Snippets:
Microsoft's MSN division continues to ready its own personalized portal site a la myYahoo! and Google Personalized, at Start.com. One item of note with this site (which is still in the Microsoft "sandbox" with no specified go live date) is that it has an "Import OPML" (Outline Processor Markup Language) feature. I think we may see more of this markup language in the coming years as its origin is outlining, something that lends itself to legal work, which can involve a lot of organizing and collecting (thoughts, documents, etcetera).
Just what is OPML? Let's check the Wikipedia:
"OPML (Outline Processor Markup Language) is an XML format for outlines. Originally developed by Radio Userland as a native file format for an outliner application it has since been adopted for other uses, the most common being to exchange list of RSS feeds between RSS aggregators. [source link]."
For anyone using or interested in Blogger, the weblog service now allows users to upload pictures to their site: details and more details. You get 300 MB of space to start.
Anyone notice lately that searching Google News for the term "blawg" is picking up multiple hits every time? I count eight this time around, including a snapshot of blawger Dennis Kennedy in living color. I remember not too long ago when hits were few and far between.
