As a follow up to my recent posting,
Instant Press Release Page - By Blogger, I received a note from
Hans Kullin, the Marketing Communications Manager at the global law firm
Linklaters. Mr. Kullin told me that Linklaters is currently experimenting with RSS feeds for "corporate information such as press releases, new deals [and] and hot topics." At present, the available feeds are only for its Swedish site, but I checked out the
feed and it works as advertised. Linklaters is utilizing a company called
Nooked for its RSS efforts.
Mr. Kullin also noted that while it is probably too soon to assess the effectiveness of utilizing RSS for Linklaters' news and press releases, he has seen "a few thousand hits per month" on the firm's feed. Since Sweden is just now getting started with RSS, in general, he is cautiously optimistic that as long as he steadily adds new content to the Linklaters' feed, it will drive traffic to the firm's website.
To see firm news and PR via RSS in action, take a moment to subscribe to Linklaters' RSS feed. While many of the entries are written in Swedish, there are some English ones as well and you can get an overall feel for Mr. Kullin's strategy. In addition, you can stop by his personal weblog covering PR and media at www.kullin.net.
