As reported by the
San Jose Mercury News, "A Santa Clara County Superior Court judge heard arguments Friday in a case that ultimately could determine whether bloggers and other online publishers share the constitutional rights of traditional journalists to protect their sources [
KansasCity.com]."
The early answer from the court appears to be that bloggers are not afforded the same protection as journalists: MacWorld UK, Business Week, Google News Search.
But, expect an appeal...
