During the periods I spend cleaning up this blawg directory, culling out the dead blawgs and fixing links, etcetera, I often run across articles written by various members of the blawgosphere over the last few years. Many are as good a read today as they were when written. In twenty years, when blawgs are commonplace and many of the original blawgers have moved on to other endeavors, I wonder if these articles will be lost to history?
In addition, I occasionally receive e-mails from reporters and writers who are researching blawgs for an article or report and are looking for background material. I typically point them to the some of the longstanding blawgers and blawgs, but I wonder if it might be useful to these people (and any one else interested in blawgs for that matter) to have a location where they can quickly review a number of previously-written articles focused on blawgs?
With these two questions in mind, I am adding an "Article Archive" to Blawg today. If you have written an article, or know someone else that has written an article, that has been published somewhere and offers good information on blawgs, the blawgosphere and/or related topics, please send me an email and let me know. I will then add these to the directory in hopes of providing visitors a one-stop shop for jumping into the history of the blawgosphere and/or a locating the various blawgers out there with whom they can pursue further information.
One note: If you send me a link, please try and send me a link to a web page that you are reasonably confident will still be working for the foreseeable future.
