In adding attorney J. Douglas Miller's Intellectual Property blawg to the directory over the weekend, I couldn't help but notice his most recent
entry,
A look at the future. The entry includes a link to a futurist's view of the media and the web circa 2014. As you may or may not expect, both Google and weblogs play heavily into this view. As I watched the presentation (it is an animated, flash presentation), I found myself both agreeing and disagreeing, which is probably a sign that the creators hit their mark in stimulating thought and discussion. If you look out towards the future, it can be exciting to think about the reality that we are still in the infancy of the web (and especially the infancy of blawgs and the weblog medium). The the convergence of media, technology and the web may occur in myriad ways over the next 10 years; this presentation offers one way that, at the very least, may make you stop and think.
Mr. Miller's "Small Business IP Protection and Management" blawg is "dedicated to the intellectual property needs of a small to medium sized company (Patent, Trademark, Copyright, Internet, and Technology Law)." You can find it here.
The futurist presentation is created in flash format, and is available both here and via Mr. Miller's blawg entry on the subject.
