The three lawyers who run the weblog,
Powerline, found themselves knee deep in presidential politics this week, with
this post doubting the authenticity of the old Bush national guard documents that surfaced in a
CBS News report on Tuesday.
Whether you agree with these lawyers' opinions and perspectives or not, what I found fascinating is that the Washington Post, among others, picked up on the Powerline weblog posting, and even hinted [free registration required] that the weblog was among the first news source to raise questions about authenticity of the documents.
Reading deeper into the Post's article, if you look at the sources cited you see a laundry list of respected newspapers and media...and two weblogs. Hmmm. Seems to me that well-written weblogs continue to be taken seriously and grow in readership, whether the old guard media wants to believe it or not.
