In an interesting use of weblog technology,
Peoplesoft is sponsoring a blawg from its own antitrust lawyer, Gary Reback. The blawg specifically covers a case in which it has large interest.
In Peoplesoft's own words: "The DOJ's lawsuit, United States of America v. Oracle, commenced Monday, June 7, in San Francisco. While there has been a lot of media around the trial, we thought it would be helpful for our customers and employees to get an inside view directly from PeopleSoft's antitrust lawyer Gary Reback. Gary is an antitrust expert and is sitting in the courtroom each day, listening to the proceedings. As the trial progresses, PeopleSoft will keep you updated through commentary from Gary."
The blawg also contains includes a useful repository of documents and information related to the case. No word yet if Oracle will offer its own blawg to counter Peoplesoft's move in this regard.

You can also read a well-written story on the subject from San Francisco Chronicle writer Verne Kopytoff here.
