Feeds the Next Big Thing?

AP technology editor Frank Bajak has penned an interesting article concerning web feeds: Enthusiasts call Web feed next big thing.

I find myself more and more believing the title of this article. The weblog itself has been important because it lowered the user threshold for the average non-technical person to start posting information to the web in a simple and straightforward manner. However, it is the backend features, particularly, the easy content syndication via feeds, which give the weblog true power and the potential to be a "next big thing."

Looking closer to home and blawgs, I find that while I read a number of blawgs each day, I do so via feed readers and aggregators, rather than visiting each and every blawg site itself on a daily basis. And, I cannot help but notice that the technology innovators and thought leaders in the legal vertical continue to experiment with new ways to sort, combine and display all of the information being generated by blawgs. There could be exciting times ahead...
