While not technically a blawg, Dennis Kennedy's Open Source Law Resource Center offers a nice starting point for those interested in the subject.
Largely due to licensing costs of some of the propietary technology being offered, a number of governments overseas are embracing the open source movement. Indeed, even here in the United States, both the public and private sector are looking closely at their options. In both Oregon and Texas, bills are making the rounds which would allow government to at least consider open source in technology procurements.
In line with the expanded use of open source software, it seems likely that "open source law" will become an integral part of the intellectual property attorneys' skill set. So, for IP attorneys everywhere, perhaps the Open Source Law Resource Center will deserve a bookmark.
